KBR's Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army's Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and full-time personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering, Logistics, Business, and International focuses, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.
Job Summary
This is a Project Manager position for KBR office located in Sterling Heights MI. Position will be required to work onsite at the facility. We provide knowledge-based Program Management for engineering services and solutions to U.S. DoD and the Federal/Civil markets utilizing both ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified Quality Management Systems. Candidate will assist in the management and execution of multiple programs for cost, schedule, and performance. The candidate will integrate and coordinate all activity needed to execute efforts requirements, including the timeliness, completeness and quality of problem identification, corrective action plans, timely identification of issues, effective/responsive management of Subcontractors, customer satisfaction, and professional and ethical behavior of Contractor personnel.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing plans and schedules, and to monitor budgets to meet contractual/project requirements for U.S. Army contract vehicles.
- Maintain several project schedules to meet customer deliverables.
- Maintain, update and lead project logistics meetings and other customer meetings as needed.
- Responsibility includes scheduling employee's tasks in support of project deliverables and customer needs.
- Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
- Responsible for reporting project(s) status to senior managers and government officials.
- Supervise project events to ensure timeliness of actions for the customer are met.
- Supervise varied teams of mechanics, subject matter experts, and logistic personnel.
- Manages and coordinates activities of all project personnel by direct supervision,
- Establish and define program plan requirements following guidelines from Contract Data Requirements Lists.
- Serves as prime point of contact between the KBR and customer.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience leading a team and monitoring both daily and long-term activities on a project is required.
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of professional work experience is required.
- In lieu of degree, 13 years' experience in technical program management, planning and implementation, contract interpretation, maintenance operations and management, or budget development and administration of government projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft products
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the operation of US army Logistics.
- Have a working knowledge of Logistics product development: FMECA, LORA, publications, and packaging.
- Demonstrated success in managing resources, staffing, and costs supporting a government contract.
- Have a working knowledge of QC inspection equipment and processes.
- Direct experience managing Government support contractors for a DoD customer
