Buyer - Rotating Equipment

We are currently seeking a Buyer to join our Sourcing & Procurement team based in Rome, Italy. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Section Head, you will play a key role in the procurement of Rotating Equipment for our international projects.

About the opportunity we offer:
As a member of the Rotating Equipment Purchasing Section, you will be responsible for purchasing complex engineered equipment such as compressors, gas turbine generators, and pumps. You will manage material requisitions allocated to you, ensuring that purchase orders (POs) are placed within the given budget and schedule.
Under the guidance of Senior Buyers and your Section Head, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing bidder lists tailored to the scope of supply.
- Setting up and managing enquiries in Technip Energies purchasing tools.
- Receiving bids, shortlisting vendors, and conducting commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Issuing Commercial Bid Tabulations (CBT) with supplier recommendations.
- Placing POs and managing modifications/PO amendments up to PO close-out.
- Collaborating with various departments, including Engineering, Project, Legal, Compliance, Cost Control, Planning, Vendor Performance Management, and Transportation.
- Identifying cost and schedule-saving opportunities to ensure an effective purchasing process.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautics Engineering.
- Up to 3 years of experience in the purchasing function.
- Experience in contractual negotiation.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong commitment to ethics and compliance.
- Developed organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Target-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with IT tools.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to travel to other Technip Energies offices and supplier premises as required.
- Willingness to be temporarily relocated to international construction sites if needed.
