Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- FLIGHT DECK Activation Designer will be responsible for taking the core FLIGHT DECK standards and scaling into alternative media and/or delivery channel based on customer needs.
- Accountable for the design, development and execution of an integrated strategy coordinating cross functional team leaders in Communications, Learning and HR to ensure activation experiences are delivering impact in developing leadership capabilities activating FLIGHT DECK
- Program Management Responsibilities for FLIGHT DECK Foundations, a quarterly in-person leadership experience at key FLIGHT DECK hubs around the world
- Partner with teams to create high quality cross business experiences including but not limited to Immersion & Onboarding, Leadership Fundamental Events, Skill Summits etc.
- Manage and improve the FLIGHT DECK Activation Hub using lean tools to continuously improve customer satisfaction
- Design experiences to showcase and activate the FLIGHT DECK standards and content both in-person immersive learning, scalable digital case studies from across the organization, and support for a best practice portal with AI enablement
- Owns and improves the standard work processes for activation design and development
- Work to simplify and standardize the technical tools for activation enablement...i.e. Miro, Impact Tracking, and MS SharePoint
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in communications, learning design, marketing, event management or similar from an accredited University or College
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a leader, player, and coach in developing content to drive operational performance improvement and modernized lean transformation
- Experience working within lean functions in a matrixed environment and working with cross functional teams.
- Experience coaching senior leaders and executives on delivery of lean/FLIGHT DECK concepts.
Desired Characteristics and Experience
- Preferred experience: 10+ years' experience as a leader, player, and coach in developing content to drive operational performance improvement and modernized lean transformation
- Multimedia design: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge in designing and implementing engaging experiences inspire audiences to build new capability. Uses a rigorous process to embed exceptional quality into the design & delivery of all experiences, both in person and virtually.
- FLIGHT DECK standards: Understand how the FLIGHT DECK standards can be adapted and deployed for activation in various channels. Partnering with the FLIGHT DECK business system design and standards creation team to ensure consistency of activation across all experiences & channels.
- FLIGHT DECK curriculum: Create the FLIGHT DECK activation curriculum partnering with the Business FLIGHT DECK Operations leaders, and the Voice-of-Customer/Voice-of-Process team to support active, high quality, application of the FLIGHT DECK standards.
- Benchmarking: Develop a cadence to share, analyze, and improve activation experiences to benchmark with other mature lean organizations outside of GE Aerospace
- Lean culture: Building the kaizen mindset, foster a culture of continuous improvement and partner with the HR and communications teams to embed the cultural tenets while continuously building a humble learning culture.
- Influential leader: Influence and ensure FLIGHT DECK fundamentals are authentically integrated into cross-business employee touchpoints.
