Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice ("INFRA") is at the forefront of advising and executing across renewables, power, and critical energy infrastructure - sectors central to the practice North American and global growth. Our INFRA practice is comprised of over 650 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute capital projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

To support our expansion, we are seeking a Director to join our Renewables, Power & Energy Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant or project leader looking to step into a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where impact is immediate and career growth is a given.

How you will contribute

The Director will lead client engagements and play an active role in business development. Working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Directors, the Director will drive project delivery excellence while contributing to building client relationships, practice development, and sector presence. This is a pivotal role for someone with deep energy infrastructure expertise and a passion for delivering high-impact solutions, a professional who is ready to operate at a higher level and grow their leadership footprint.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day client engagement teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and exceptional client experience.
  • Manage complex project workstreams, integrating technical, commercial, and strategic perspectives.
  • Support business development efforts by helping craft proposals, participating in pitches, and cultivating client relationships.
  • Conduct market research and develop sector insights that support client strategy and internal thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership on service line development, internal initiatives, and resource planning.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members to build bench strength and reinforce A&M's performance-driven culture.
  • Represent A&M's Infrastructure practice in client discussions, industry events, and networking forums.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MS, or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience, including time in a top-tier consulting firm, infrastructure advisory, or project development environment.
  • Strong experience across the renewables, power, or energy infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements and deliver high-impact results.
  • Experience supporting or participating in business development efforts (e.g., proposals, client targeting, account management).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $175,000 - $195,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
