JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

  • Responsible for managing, building and growing relationships with decision makers and executives for the assigned customer accounts.
  • Always embody excellent customer service and actively work to improve customers business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between NOV and customer accounts; understand customer needs and how NOV's aftermarket, capital equipment and technology can add value to their operations.
  • Represent and promote all NOV Rig Technology product lines, technologies after aftermarket services for the assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions for orders, within NOV's policies and guidance from management, legal and finance.
  • Make direct sales contacts and pursue opportunities; create and present presentations, coordinating to involve appropriate internal SME's, where needed.
  • Gain insight into customer and market needs and develop strategic plans/initiatives to develop new opportunities and capture known opportunities.
  • Contribute data to the Annual Financial Plan/Quarterly Sales Forecast and continually focus efforts to meet booking requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge on competitor activities, market offerings and efforts - document and communicate the information accurately to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal support team, subject matter experts and operations team.
  • Monitor and communicate the status of all orders to the customer; ensure customers account is current and assist AR with any past due accounts.
  • Maintain sales prospects and quotations pipeline and complete required internal and external general communication.
  • Represent NOV Rig Technologies at various industry association events and meetings.
  • Develop and submit sales activity and market intelligence reports as needed for management.
  • Travel locally and regionally to customer and company locations as required.
  • Comply with all company QHSE policies and adhere to the company Code of Conduct.


Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Teams, etc) and have experience in quotation and aftermarket/asset tracking software.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of Engineering, business or other technical degree + 4 years minimum relevant industry experience. Will consider non-Degreed candidate with 8-10+ years experience in highly relevant roles.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in upstream oil and gas sector. Preference will be given to applicants with applicable experience with an OEM or drilling contractor, or who otherwise possess demonstrable knowledge of the drilling business/equipment.
  • Proven ability and track record of developing business to business relationships and relevant industry relationships are strongly desired.
  • Strong technical and commercial background required.
  • Understands the broader upstream oil and gas market and possesses a deep understanding of drilling market - applications, equipment and commercial in all aspect of drilling market.
  • Clearly demonstrated leadership abilities to lead cross functional group towards a common goal through influence, strongly preferred.
  • Displays the ability to maintain complex and fluid client relationships and projects and the ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Proven track record of being self-motivated and possessing sound decision making.
  • Knowledge of digital drilling control systems and software strongly preferred.
