Title: Scheduler

Location: Orlando, FL - Hybrid 3 days in office per week

Duration: 6 Months contract, ideally to hire but can be extended

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $71/HR - max $75/HR

Responsibilities:

Coordinate Substation Activities: Schedule and manage substation maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure minimal downtime.

Resource Allocation: Ensure proper allocation of manpower, tools, and materials for scheduled tasks.

Monitor Work Progress: Track the progress of ongoing substation activities and adjust schedules as necessary to meet project deadlines.

Communicate with Stakeholders: Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of scheduled tasks.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all scheduled work adheres to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Update Scheduling Systems: Maintain and update scheduling software or systems with accurate task timelines and status updates.

Prioritize Urgent Tasks: Reorganize schedules in response to emergency repairs, outages, or critical tasks.

Prepare Reports: Generate reports on scheduled activities, including delays, completed tasks, and any issues encountered.

Assist in Budgeting: Support the budget process by tracking resource utilization and project costs related to scheduled activities.

Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in scheduling processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Must haves:

3+ years of construction scheduling experience

Experience with electrical work would be a plus, substation experience would be even better but neither are required

Strong communication skills.

Strong P6 expertise, general understanding of Microsoft Project.

General understanding of US Construction.

Ability to work / balance multiple projects.

Ability to work in the US long term.

Ability / openness to periodically travel to construction sites to meeting with construction staff as needed.

Understanding of the contact to hire process.

40-50 hours a week

Desire to be a scheduler for at least a couple of years

traveling for 2-4 days once a month
