Program Summary
KBR seeking a Logistics clerk to join our team at our office in Las Cruces, NM. The Logistics Clerk will support the ongoing build-to-print production program spread across both manufacturing and assembly facilities in Las Cruces.
Job Summary
The Logistics Clerk will perform a variety of shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties. These duties utilize an understanding of storage planning to palletize, stack, move, place, retrieve, load, and unload items from a warehouse storage facility. Activities will involve performing verification, checking, delivering, pick up and inventorying assignments; using powered industrial equipment and motor vehicles to accomplish assignments. Responsibilities also include retrieval of material from inventory to perform kitting activities in preparation for product manufacturing.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Works as a member of a team; Communicates effectively, assists team to complete daily task requirements to achieve overall goals.
• Routes materials to prescribed storage locations, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, ensure locations are accurately noted in the automated inventory system.
• Works with production planning, production, quality, warehouse, and shipping associates in a professional manner to get all work completed.
• Performs packing and shipping functions and generates supporting shipping documentation
• Reorganizes and obtains inventory of stored material to identify discrepancies, etc. as directed.
• Removes materials from storage and verifies work documents as required.
• Performs periodic stock inventories.
• Comprehends and completes Work Authorizations and follows instructions to deliver and/or pickup material at various departments.
• Matches specific item documentation data such as asset description, part number, letter and number codes, quantity, and units of issue on containers and stock locations with those on receiving reports and various other forms.
• Ensures all signatures and notations are documented on shipping documents for pick up and deliveries
• Palletizes, stacks, and otherwise places and arranges items in storage locations in consideration of their size, shape, weight, quantity, type, stock number, letter and number codes, and other storage factors.
• Understands and follows procedures for removing material from storage for shipment or issue in consideration to quantities, units of issue, and types of items shown on issue requests.
• Schedules deliveries, responds to emails and answers the telephone as needed.
• Perform various lower-class duties such as (but not limited to) file, maintenance, workspace cleanup and maintain warehouse space.
• Supports other department staff as needed or directed.
• Inspects the loading dock to assure equipment operability, availability of supplies, and overall safety, and cleanliness.
• Understands the difference between various types of forms and support including but not limited to: Pull Orders, Parts Return, Shipping documents, Excess Equipment, and to follow set priority levels assigned to each work requirement.
• Adheres to the established KBR safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs routine cycle counts and inventory actions on all warehouse stock.
• Utilizes inventory software to manage and update inventory counts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• High School Diploma with 6 years of experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
• Proficient in MS desktop applications.
• Able to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift to be able to retrieve and move inventory items for counts and audits,
• Knowledgeable in shipping and receiving methodology.
• Positive and effective communicator

• Bachelor's degree
• 5-10 years' experience
