Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR's enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract's original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.

Job Summary

The Scheduling/Planning Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by developing, analyzing, and maintaining detailed schedules. Under general supervision, this role involves close coordination with procurement, materials management, and engineering teams to ensure timely availability of essential supplies and adherence to project milestones. The Specialist contributes to overall project forecasting and disbursement planning by performing in-depth schedule analysis, utilizing standard project control concepts while building advanced expertise.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules to ensure timely completion of job progress milestones.
  • Coordinate with procurement and material managers to ensure critical supply items are identified and available.
  • Liaise with engineering work group leads to align schedules with design and resource requirements.
  • Establish and communicate project priorities to drive on-time execution.
  • Perform schedule analyses to support forecasting and disbursement planning.
  • Utilize standard project control concepts and procedures in performing day-to-day tasks.
  • Analyze scheduling data and propose solutions to mitigate risks and delays.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling and planning processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience in scheduling, planning, or project controls.
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in scheduling tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities across cross-functional teams.
  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
  • Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government contracts, particularly under LOGCAP or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of DoD or federal acquisition and logistics processes.
