RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical Responsibilities
- Adhere to BMS/LOGIC Construction Management documentation and ensure all site activities are performed safely, with environmental responsibility, integrity, and quality, meeting Wood HSSE targets.
- Promote Wood and Client safety standards and core values.
- Provide leadership in achieving safety objectives across all Construction Management activities.
- Deliver construction input from project kick-off through to system handover.
- Conduct surveys, generate reports, and identify critical path items with mitigation strategies.
- Review design documents and provide constructability input.
- Participate in HAZIDs/HAZOPs and readiness reviews as required.
- Manage performance of construction teams at fabrication and construction sites.
- Attend client and project-specific meetings and manage progress efficiency.
Urban & Municipal Construction Focus
- Lead construction execution for projects in congested municipal environments, including:
- Urban transmission and distribution pipeline relocations and upgrades
- Meter relocations and service installations
- Facility and station upgrades
- Coordinate closely with municipalities to ensure compliance with:
- Road closures and traffic accommodation plans
- Utility crossing and excavation permits
- Environmental and land access requirements
- Oversee restoration activities including road repaving, sidewalk reinstatement, landscaping, and other post-construction obligations.
- Engage with municipal officials, utility partners, and the public to minimize disruption and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
- 20+ years of experience as a Construction Manager or similar role in Oil & Gas or Utilities.
- Direct experience with urban pipeline construction or brownfield construction in congested environments is highly preferred.
- PMP designation and trades certification are assets.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clean driver's abstract
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood now or in the future is required
