Job Summary:

Lyon Shipyard is seeking a skilled Utility Gas Free employee to support our shipyard operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safety and compliance through fluid transfer, tank cleaning, hazardous waste handling, and gas-free inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transfer fluids from vessels to shore using proper equipment and procedures
• Perform pressure washing of tanks, vessels, and other ship components
• Clean and decontaminate tanks, including the removal of sludge and waste materials.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste per regulatory standards
• Work safely in confined spaces.
• Conduct gas-free inspections and testing for safe working conditions .
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and related activities .
• Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow .

Qualifications:
• Comfortable working in confined spaces
• Proficient with fluid transfer equipment and pressure washing tools
• Experience with tank cleaning and waste disposal preferred
• Must have or be able to provide proof of Hepatitis A, B, and Tetanus vaccinations
• Knowledge of shipyard safety protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
