Agile Systems Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Agile Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and sustainment of the Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Command and Control (C2) system and system-of-systems concepts. In this role, you will apply Agile methodologies to complex systems engineering challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
The Agile Systems Engineer will apply Agile practices to the development, delivery, and sustainment of advanced air and missile defense systems. They will develop and review systems engineering artifacts including requirements documents, architectural models, interface diagrams, test plans, schedules, and sustainment strategies. They will have a solid understanding and experience in systems and/or software engineering, including systems architecture, requirement development, integration, verification, and validation. They will support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) composed of government, contractor, and OEM personnel and collaborate across disciplines to prioritize parallel system requirements and ensure alignment with overarching mission objectives. The Agile Systems Engineer will analyze and resolve complex system integration issues, including performing root cause analysis to ensure optimal system performance and availability. Another important aspect of the role is to ensure risks-technical, programmatic, and schedule-related-are identified, documented, and effectively communicated.
Position is fully funded and is full time on government site. Travel will be required.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- STEM undergraduate degree or undergraduate degree and certified in Systems Engineering
- 6 - 10 Years of Experience
- Possesses a DoD final secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of formal engineering processes and experience working in an agile/scrum environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently throughout the software development life cycle.
- Experience with the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) functional and behavior analysis
- Experience with C+, C++, and Python
- Experience with DOD Acquisition Lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be highly organized and self-motivated
- Proficient in MS suite of software
