The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team to support critical Modernisation and uplifting of Electronic Warfare capability that protect national security. This role is essential for incorporating, integrating, and sustaining developmental environments and software tools, optimizing processes, automating tasks, and streamlining configuration management

Responsibilities
  • Build sophisticated, high-performance user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
  • Create and enhance new and existing front-end and back-end software products and applications.
  • Develop user interfaces/ GUIs to compare data and provide graphical representations.
  • Provide interfaces to create rules to filter platforms/emitters based on operational relevance.
  • Automatically generate reports.
  • Ensure a strong grasp of responsive design, performance optimization, and emerging web standards.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable backend APIs.
  • Apply design principles and UI/UX best practices to all projects.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in full stack development.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Excellent understanding of web fundamentals, including responsive design, performance optimization, and emerging web standards.
  • Clear understanding of design principles and UI/UX best practices.
  • Strong software development skills and experience in front-end, back-end, and/or database systems.
  • Experience with server-side rendering and client-side rendering.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
  • An understanding of Electronic Warfare
  • Defence experience (Uniformed, APS or Contractor)
  • AGSVA security clearance - NV 1 (minimum - with ability to obtain NV2 is required)

Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA (on site 5 days a week dependent on network access and role requirements)
