About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Nuclear Stockpile Accountability Data Manager to provide expert-level support in managing and overseeing the Department of Defense (DoD) nuclear weapons stockpile. This role involves technical and administrative responsibilities, including data validation, policy development, logistics coordination, and strategic planning in support of national security objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the DTRA Accountability Chief with daily oversight of the DoD nuclear stockpile.
• Support the development and execution of nuclear accountability exercises.
• Review, validate, and help develop nuclear weapons and spare parts accountability policies, procedures, and applications.
• Maintain, update, and correct nuclear accountability data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor nuclear weapons inventory for compliance with accountability standards.
• Coordinate nuclear weapon shipments, including issuing Material Transfer Orders (MTOs), Movement Tracking Numbers (MTNs), and approving shipping schedules.
• Track and support execution of movements under the New Material and Stockpile Evaluation Schedule (NMSES).
• Review and distribute the annual NMSES schedule to Logistics Agents.
• Generate availability messages to support weapons movement planning.
• Gather and analyze data from DOE and DIAMONDS to create Annual Lab and Flight Test Selection memorandums.
• Prepare background materials, briefings, talking points, after-action reports, and official summaries.
• Attend and support meetings, workshops, training sessions, and conferences.
• Organize and execute logistics for meetings and events, including pre- and post-event documentation.
• Serve as a backup for Department Stockpile Managers, providing independent support as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, National Security, Logistics, Data Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in nuclear stockpile management, accountability, or related defense operations.
• Strong understanding of DoD and DOE nuclear weapons programs, policies, and logistics.
• Experience with nuclear accountability systems and data platforms (e.g., DIAMONDS).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, briefings, and reports.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with senior leadership and interagency partners.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting DTRA or similar defense agencies.
• Familiarity with NMSES, MTOs, MTNs, and nuclear logistics coordination.
• Background in policy development and exercise planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-security, fast-paced environment.
