We are seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented Contracts Attorney to support our legal and commercial operations in the oil & gas sector. This role will focus on drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts across upstream activities.

Function description

As Contracts Attorney, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal department and operational teams by ensuring that all contractual arrangements align with legal standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government entities to manage legal risk and drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including EPC, E&P, JV, supply, service, and transportation agreements.
• Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, risk allocation, and compliance with local and international regulations.
• Support M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with commercial, procurement, and project teams to align legal strategies with business goals.
• Monitor regulatory developments in the Oil & Gas sector and advise on their impact.
• Manage contract lifecycle and maintain legal documentation systems.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contract law, within the oil & gas sector.
• Experience with national and international contracts and cross-border transactions is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of oil & gas industry practices and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
• English proficiency.
• Travel availability.
