High School Diploma with 5+ years' experience in the petrochemical or equivalent industrial field as an inside/outside machinist, millwright, or mechanic; OR a two-year Industrial Mechanics Degree, or equivalent education, with 2 years relevant mechanic experience.

Activities

Maintain the following rotating equipment:

• Centrifugal & Reciprocating Pump
• Compressors - all types
  -Steam Turbines
  -Diaphragm Pumps
  -Unit Fans (Fin Fans & Cooling Towers)
  -Unit Gearboxes
  -Tank Mixers
  -Chain-Drive Units
  -Mechanical Seals
• Research material and equipment required to perform job assignments
• Perform job documentation
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures
• Follow safe work practices
• Climbing and lifting required
• Prepare reports, project documentation, modifications
• Work with vendors/contractors on repairs and maintenance of equipment

Candidate Profile

Job Specifications:

• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Stable work history
• Willing to work overtime and answer call outs
• Cooperative and works well with others
• Must be computer literate
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Climbing and lifting required

Experience in the following:

• Basic math, equipment theory
• Lubrication systems and lubrication fluids
• Mechanical aptitude
• Metallurgy, gaskets
• Bearings, hand tools, seals, piping, rigging, balancing, torquing, couplings, fasteners, use of burning torch
• Laser & Reverse dial Alignment
• Equipment knowledge in the following:
• Centrifugal and reciprocating pumps
• Centrifugal and reciprocating compressors
• Turbines, gear boxes, fans, blowers, mixers, electric motors, chain drives
• Lathe, Drill Press, Key Seater, Balancing Machine, and Hydraulic Press
• Understanding of refinery processes
• Experience using Microsoft Office Products, Lotus Notes, and SAP
