Wood is currently seeking motivated and experienced Pipefitters with maintenance and turnaround/shutdown experience, to work as part of our team supporting the upcoming 2025 Ampol Shutdown for 5-6 weeks, commencing approx. 6 August.
This is a good short-term opportunity to earn EXCELLENT RATES, while still being based at home.
This is a Brisbane-based role, locally based applicants are preferred at this time, however, consideration will be given to those living outside of Southeast Queensland with the required skill set and experience.
We will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrable strong commitment to safety
- Enjoy working in a team environment and self-motivated
- Ability to work autonomously when required, while taking ownership of the role
- Pipe Fitting-Carbon Steel experience required
- Pipefitters (not bracket fitters) must be able to read isometric drawings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Trade qualified
- Previous Shutdown/T&I experience is a definite advantage
- You will have proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
- Must have in date current Working at Heights and Confined Space ticket to work on Shutdown - validity 3 years from date of issue, not expiring before 30 September 2025
- Penalty rates apply
- Must be available for Wood medical immediately.
