The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer/Reprogramming Expert to support a defence project for a 12-month contract. As an EW SME, this position will provide technical guidance and support to software and data teams to uplift EW capabilities to ensure the Australian Defence Force (ADF) is equipped with cutting edge technology to address operational threats.

Responsibilities
  • As an EW SME, provide technical guidance and support to software and data teams.
  • Participate in cross functional teams to develop and integrate reprogramming products into software and data systems.
  • Reprogram and update existing EW and radar systems to meet changing mission requirements
  • Analyse and interpret threat data to identify and evaluate new and emerging threats.
  • Undertake the development and review of simulation data files used in testing EW libraries for different defence platforms.
  • Support production, review and management of Electromagnetic Environment simulations for various ADF platforms.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during EW system testing, evaluation and deployment.
  • Collaborate and support team to define system/software requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • You hold minimum an active NV1 security clearance (essential).
  • 4-5 years of experience in EW systems, simulation and reprogramming.
  • Strong knowledge of EW and radar systems, signal processing, countermeasures, and system design.
  • Experience with EW reprogramming tools, software and hardware.
  • Experience in performing and supervising the maintenance of radar, electronic warfare, communications and navigation equipment's
  • AGSVA security clearance - NV 1 (minimum - with ability to obtain NV2 is required)

Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA (on site 5 days a week dependent on network access and role requirements)
