As the USA Transportation Coordinator for Avio Aero, you will be the driving force behind seamless transportation operations between the United States and our plants in Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Collaborating with the Transportation Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for suppliers and freight forwarders, ensuring smooth processes, resolving challenges, and delivering results that make a global impact.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure efficient transportation processes
- Act as the main point of contact between Avio Aero suppliers and plants, resolving logistical challenges with precision and expertise
- Identify critical aspects of the logistics process and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and performance
- Use KPIs to track freight forwarder performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Contribute to cost control and reduction by defining and implementing impactful logistics projects
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools and best practices to reduce transportation process variations and enhance operations
- Stay on top of transportation regulations and oversee military export license renewals
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - Master's preferred
- Strong experience in air transportation and a deep understanding of global logistics operations
- Proven ability to work effectively with suppliers and customers to achieve shared goals
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Proficient in Excel and other computer tools to analyze data and drive decisions
- Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge of US Customs regulations and military licenses, including USML classifications
- Familiarity with Freight Forwarders, couriers, and ocean transportation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment
