Job Overview:
The Field Specialist III is responsible for independently executing the installation and servicing of completion and service tools at wellsites. The role includes field operations, equipment maintenance, job reporting, and supporting workshop activities. A key function is ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and quality service delivery to clients.
Responsibilities:
Install completion and service tools in the field.
Verify equipment readiness and delivery to wellsite.
Prepare and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Perform hydraulic, volume, and pressure calculations.
Conduct remedial workovers and stimulation support.
Perform maintenance and repairs on field equipment.
Submit detailed and accurate job reports.
Access and apply technical documentation and procedures.
Support disassembly, assembly, and testing in the workshop.
Deliver tools to field locations as needed.
Remain on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs.
Adhere to Weatherford's Quality and HSE policies.
Complete mandatory training and development plans.
Perform other duties as required.
Skills:
Essential:
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio)
Advanced math and hydraulics
Field and workshop competency
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
Valid driver's license
Strong written and verbal communication
Self-driven and team-oriented
Preferred:
Knowledge of downhole equipment (e.g., artificial lift)
Tubing movement, fluid flow, and torque/drag modeling
Completion design basics
Technical writing proficiency
Qualifications:
Technical certificate or high school diploma (or equivalent)
3-6 years of field experience in completions/services
Mechanical ability to perform equipment repairs
Physical readiness for field operations and emergencies
Engineering degree preferred for Field Engineer track
Ability to demonstrate Level 1 field competency
