Technical Professional Advisor

Primary Duties / Scope of Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical consultation and advisory services to support operational decision-making across ongoing Operation & maintenance projects, actively promoting KBR technology products and services through client meetings, presentations, and other forums in the designated geographic area.
• Act as a key with technical interface team with client stakeholders, addressing technical queries, presenting solutions, and ensuring alignment with client operational requirements.
• Analyse and define market opportunities, assessing customer needs for equipment, products, and services while advising clients on appropriate solutions and new technologies.
• Collaborate with internal product lines, sharing information and promoting their services to ensure integrated and optimized solutions for clients across the technology services.
• Support Ops Manager /PM by contributing to the preparation of technical proposals, assisting with contract document preparation for tenders, including the collation of technical documents, pricing strategies, and market intelligence on client preferences and competitor analysis.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, ensuring that all promotional and technical materials reflect the latest innovations and are ready for client discussions.
• Regularly report on technical performance, business opportunities, and progress toward achieving new business goals, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
• Provide recommendations to optimize operational costs by suggesting improvements or alternate solutions to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
• Promote key/value-added services to all clients, ensuring they are aware of KBR's full technical offering and how these services can benefit their operations.
• Engage in technical and strategic discussions to help clients understand cost implications and identify potential areas for improvement and growth.
• Understand, analyse and define the market to determine opportunities
• At all times to have the latest available information and presentation packages on assigned new technologies.
• To assist with contract documents preparation for tenders that utilize the information gathered on client organizations, internal preferences and competitor strategies/services.
• Promote key/value added services to all clients
• Perform various other duties assigned by your line manager within the physical constraints of the job

Minimum Job Requirement

• English Skills (must) + local language (preferable)
• Ability to discuss technical matters in the O&G downstream industry
• 15+ years' experience in Petrochemical, Refinery or Oil and Gas project/operations at senior level fully aware of government workflows, particularly in the energy sector
• Engineering Degree in relevant technical discipline
• Work to the highest personal & professional standards to achieve or exceed set objectives.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and embrace clients' charter values.
• Experience of working in an integrated team from diverse locations required.
• Has ability to prepare and/or review proposals in compliance with tender requirements
