Overview
This position is responsible for scheduling gas construction work, interfacing with customers, plumbers, developers, locators, construction crews, contractors (811, traffic control, etc.), GDO management and other departments to provide safe and reliable gas service to our customers.
Responsibilities
• Maintains department files (company records, documents, work orders) - (yellow reports, red tags, main reports/drawings to Asset Info, prints timesheets for crews, creates mailboxes, etc.)
• Coordinates gas installation and repairs with builders, plumbers, customers, locators, management, construction crews, and other departments.
• Maintains gas construction calendar and updates work orders based on scheduling, locates, and field comments.
• Requests locates (811), traffic control and others as needed for gas construction work.
• Supports gas construction crews, gas trouble, gas dispatch, management, pipeline inspectors, Miller Pipeline crews/management and others as needed. Provides research of facility history, location, service records and other information.
• Utilizes work order management system, GIS system, and customer care system to generate work orders.
• Answers Gas Construction rotating phone line and responds to routine questions.
• Writes and mails customer correspondence using predefined templates to notify of pending gas work or needed repairs.
• Orders supplies for gas construction and trouble (e.g. hangtags from Welch, etc.)
• Assists with bill reconciliation.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using a personal computer, utilizing Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel), and LG&E specific systems (ARM, Dispatch Application, GOMR, TOE, Smallworld, Quest, CCS).
• Highly organized with experience scheduling complex work between numerous departments/stakeholders under a deadline.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to effectively multi-task.
