As the Director of Marketing Communications for Emerson's Power and Water Solutions (PWS) business, you will be a key architect in crafting and implementing innovative marketing strategies to drive growth for a global business unit generating over $700M in sales. You will lead a high-performing marketing communications team responsible for promoting the Ovation™ Automation Platform, Ovation™ Green Renewable Solutions, Guardian™ brands, and other Industrial Software offerings. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, technology, and business development, as well as sales, you will craft and implement impactful campaigns that elevate brand visibility and drive demand. As the brand steward for our business, you will lead all aspects of Marketing Communications spend to ensure strategic alignment and maximum impact in the dynamic landscape of high-tech automation. This position will be based in our PWS headquarters - Pittsburgh, PA.

- Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing communications strategy, using cutting-edge tools, marketing automation, and emerging technologies to raise awareness, foster engagement, and drive demand.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a marketing communications team to deliver high-quality, impactful campaigns and initiatives that align with business growth objectives.
- Aligning marketing communications plans with business priorities while staying ahead of industry trends and customer needs.
- Managing integrated marketing initiatives, including advertising, content creation, public relations, events, digital marketing, and social media.
- Overseeing trade show event strategies, including booth design, lead generation, and post-event follow-up to ensure maximum impact.
- Leading the annual Ovation Users Group events, including theme creation, content development, promotional campaigns, and event logistics to deliver a premier customer experience.
- Establishing processes for measuring marketing outcomes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring a measurable return on investment.
- Collaborating with product, technology, sales, and business development teams to deliver cohesive and effective marketing programs that support business objectives.
- Maintaining on-brand, high-quality content aligned with Emerson guidelines, emphasizing technological innovation and industry leadership.
- Managing the marketing communications budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and fiscal responsibility.
- Providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support global growth initiatives and marketing strategies.
Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
- 12+ years of experience in business-to-business marketing, preferably in a technical, B2B setting.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related business field. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- Proven success in leading and performing marketing and digital strategies in a matrixed or regional organization.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of improving marketing programs and customer engagement.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and develop a global team while overseeing multiple projects.
- Unwavering attention to detail, quality, and consistency in all communications.
- Proficiency in storytelling, presentation, and digital marketing tools to build compelling and impactful content.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
