We are currently hiring a Pipefitter Apprentice to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems used in mechanical and HVAC applications. This is a hands-on role ideal for those who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to grow their career in the mechanical trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate pipe types and sizes based on project specifications
  • Inspect worksites for obstructions and ensure structural integrity when drilling or creating pipe routes
  • Plan installation sequences to avoid conflicts with other trades
  • Assemble and install metal and non-metal pipe systems (e.g., brass, copper, lead, glass, plastic)
  • Connect piping using threaded, soldered, brazed, welded, fused, or cemented joints
  • Secure pipes using clamps, brackets, and hangers
  • Install and maintain HVAC systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls
  • Test piping systems for leaks using pressure testing methods
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project plans
  • Work with cutting, bending, and welding tools as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in pipefitting within the Mechanical and HVAC industry
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with pipefitting tools, welding techniques, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and visualize systems in 3D
  • Minimum of 1 year of training/experience in the installation of mechanical systems and use of related tools and equipment
  • Willingness to learn and follow directions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
