As a Pipefitting Foreman, you'll be a hands-on leader, guiding a crew of three or more workers to execute diverse trades and labor work. Your paramount skill in and knowledge of pipefitting will be essential to effectively carry out your duties. You'll actively participate in the work alongside your team, setting the pace and demonstrating proper methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Translate supervisor instructions into actionable tasks for your crew, getting work started efficiently, and ensuring everyone remains productive.
  • On-Site Expertise: Provide guidance and answer questions from your team on procedures, policies, and technical directives, while maintaining your own current knowledge.
  • Resource Management: Ensure all necessary plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are readily available, coordinating stock acquisition as needed.
  • Quality & Safety Oversight: Consistently check work in progress and upon completion to meet all instructions, deadlines, and quality standards. You'll also be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to safety and housekeeping rules.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Obtain crucial information or decisions from supervisors when problems arise, and report work status, progress, and any delays directly to superintendents and project managers.
  • Project Scheduling: Possess the ability to schedule projects effectively and meet critical deadlines.

What You'll Bring: Technical Acumen & Leadership

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in the pipefitting trade.
  • Technical Mastery: Thorough knowledge of piping blueprints, specifications, and codes, as well as blueprints for other major crafts.
  • System Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of all plumbing and piping systems.
  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with employees and clients on a professional level.
  • Supervisory Skills: The ability to effectively supervise multiple employees.
  • Detail-Oriented: A strong attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in all work.
