If you are a leader with logistics and warehousing experience and are looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! As a Lead Material Handler, you'll be start of our production process, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of work under the mentorship of your manager. Your role will be diverse and dynamic, from receiving incoming material, to gathering and moving materials to their next point of operation, and ensuring our facility remains clean, safe, and environmentally friendly. You will be responsible and held accountable for coordinating your team to safely complete their day-to-day tasks.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Serve as the point of contact for your area and communicate with management
  • Collect, prepare, and present daily metrics
  • Receive direct and indirect materials and manage related documentation
  • Prepare production pick lists and coordinate team efforts to meet demand
  • Train new hires and support cross-training initiatives
  • Assist with hiring decisions and onboarding
  • Lead 5S efforts and support ISO and safety procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

For this role you will need:
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred, but required if no equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform basic computer operations and mathematical computations
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane to move or transfer products
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and move product
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Familiarity with and ability to use hand and power tools

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:
  • Experience with SAP ERP specifically
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility with changing job assignments
