What You Will Do and Learn
Within the Design Assessment department of our Technical Directorate, you will join a team of engineers responsible for certifying fixed and floating offshore structures for projects related to Marine Renewable Energy.
Supervised by offshore geotechnics experts, you will actively participate in various stages of the certification process for offshore structures:
You will contribute to technical reviews and document certification processes for foundations, from site condition evaluations to design reviews. Additionally, you will participate in the development of our procedures and expertise in independent calculations for offshore foundation design.
Your mission will involve mastering a pile-driving analysis tool, developing calculation procedures, and validating these methods. During your learning experience, you will also explore developing calculation sheets or codes for other soil-structure interaction aspects, such as scour, damping, and soil resistance under structural loads, depending on the needs identified by our geotechnicians on ongoing projects.

- Reviewing soil investigations: Including geophysical and geotechnical studies, their interpretation, and their implementation in environmental specifications for offshore projects.
- Foundation design reviews: Assessing the design of various offshore foundations under structural, operational, and environmental loads. This includes pile driving and monopile installation evaluations as well as seabed scour issues.
- Independent geotechnical and installation calculations: Performing structural stability assessments and installation analyses for offshore foundations.
You will contribute to technical reviews and document certification processes for foundations, from site condition evaluations to design reviews. Additionally, you will participate in the development of our procedures and expertise in independent calculations for offshore foundation design.

- Marine Renewable Energy Systems: Fixed and floating wind turbines, floating solar panels, tidal turbines, and wave energy converters.
- Offshore Oil & Gas Infrastructure: Fixed and floating platforms, as well as subsea hydrocarbon production systems.
