Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)
The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre's (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.
The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking a Configuration Officer to work within our dynamic CLCM team in support of the Royal Australian Navy's fleet of Amphibious Combat and Sealift ships.
Under limited supervision, you will apply Configuration Management techniques in the context of Systems Engineering on Navy Maritime Assets and will make decisions on Configuration change whilst representing the team in Configuration Control Boards.
The Configuration Officer will liaise closely with the Engineering team, Ship Superintendents, and Waterfront Engineers responsible for the Products Being Supported to ensure compliance to the Configuration Management Plan.
This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.

Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
- Review and manage changes required to the configuration baselines of the PBS.
- Review and examine the integrity of metadata and conduct data queries relating to verification of updates to the configuration baseline.
- Review and manage configuration changes and deviations.
- Participate in Configuration Control Boards.
- Deliver Configuration Status Accounting data and services.
- Respond to external audits and Corrective Action Reports.
- Liaise directly with members of the ACSSPO as required to execute your tasks.
- Develop good relationships with sub-contract agencies.
- Under broad direction and in consultation with the Configuration and Data Manager, actively assist the Configuration Team and other stakeholders.
- Execute day-to-day activities in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
- At least 3 years' experience in a configuration role (preferably within the Defence industry).
- Experience in Configuration Management Tool (CMT)/TeamCentre.
- Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
Desirable:
- Diploma, or equivalent, qualification in a recognised Engineering related discipline.
- Experience in the Department of Defence.
- Experience in Asset Maintenance Planning System (AMPS).
- Experience in Stock Control Planned Maintenance (SCPM)
