JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced painter that can hit the ground running. This employee will be required to paint our custom equipment that will meet our quality standards so that we can ship a very well built and visually pleasing product to our customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble and test enclosed drive gearboxes and subassemblies.
• Monitor equipment performance and perform precise measurements.
• Troubleshoot and correct assembly errors to ensure product quality.
• Follow material traceability and batch production procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Utilize safe work habits at all times.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support paint and prep operations related to gearbox manufacturing.
• Assist with prepping mixers or components for painting as required.
• Apply knowledge of paint mixtures and HVLP/Gravity Feed systems to ensure optimal surface finish.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with HVLP/Gravity Feed paint systems.
• Must have a practical knowledge of all aspects of painting.
• Must be familiar with paint mixtures and also be familiar with how to prep our mixers or components for paint.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate with Supervisors, Programmers, and shift personnel.
• Ability to determine best practices to achieve high-quality results.
• Must be alert, detail-oriented, and capable of learning new tasks.
• Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization.
• Working knowledge of shop safety practices.
• Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Comfortable working in a factory environment with temperature variations.
• Physically capable of standing for up to 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be physically capable of standing for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs..
