JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting a core AB Crane Operator for ENI Irish Sea Pioneer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main purpose of role: Responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Irish Sea Pioneer Cranes and the handling of materials to and from the installation by air and sea. Additionally, responsible to perform helideck crew duties and deck duties and tasks as required and directed by the Deck Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient & cost effective operation of the platform's deck activities. Also support marine activities in the capacity of Able Bodied Seaman.
Operate as part of the multi-tasking Operations Team, assisting with helicopter and supply boat operations as required

RESPONSIBILITIES
Main purpose of role: Responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Irish Sea Pioneer Cranes and the handling of materials to and from the installation by air and sea. Additionally, responsible to perform helideck crew duties and deck duties and tasks as required and directed by the Deck Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient & cost effective operation of the platform's deck activities. Also support marine activities in the capacity of Able Bodied Seaman.
- Operating cranes and other deck duties
- Undertaking daily and weekly maintenance routines of the cranes as directed and as required by the planned maintenance system
- Completes Daily Checks Sheets for Manitex Cranes
- Complying with permit to work and risk assessment procedures
- Undertaking any training as required by the company, assisting in the training of deck and helicopter fire teams
- Ensuring adequate safe systems of work are adopted for all activities and that procedures are adhered to
- Cargo handling to and from supply vessels and client installations
- General fabric maintenance on the vessel
- Assisting in engine room as required as instructed by Chief Engineer
- Maintenance of emergency equipment, lifesaving appliances and firefighting equipment
- Participating in all emergency training and drills
- Watch-keeping as required by the Master during transiting
- Mooring/un-mooring operations
- On activation of the ISP GPA, report to muster point and act as Emergency Response Team Member
- If instructed to do so, act as coxswain for evacuation by lifeboat
- If instructed to do so, direct personnel to heli-admin for evacuation by helicopter
- Complete and maintain Skills or any other competence system as requested
- Prepare work orders and work permits, requiring isolation as appropriate to progress maintenance activities
- Support in diagnostics and rectification of faults to maximise equipment availability and report all defects to management
- Monitors and controls work by vendors/contractors within own remit.
- Input accurate data into Maximo for recording of maintenance and historical data.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Competency as Able Bodied Seaman Grade 1
- Crane Operator Level 3
- Banksman Slinger Stage 3
- Rigger Stage 1
- Offshore Fire / Emergency Helideck Team Member
- Offshore Fire / Emergency Response Team Member
- Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain course desirable
- Basic Offshore Safety Induction Training course
- Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)
- OGUK and ENG.1 medicals
