Site Overview

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Role Overview:

This role would require prior experience in investigating process-microstructure-property correlations of structural alloys, preferably nickel and titanium alloys. The candidate must have hands-on experience with operation of mechanical test equipment's such as creep, tensile and fatigue frames. Ability to develop correlations between material processing methods, resulting structural characteristics, and resulting material properties.

Additionally, the candidate should possess the following skills:

Good teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team Performing a literature search and interpret test results Excellent oral and written communication skills, including being able to communicate the research findings to a team The candidate should be able to perform heat-treatment experiments under expert supervision Hands on experience with advanced material characterization techniques, such as Optical, SEM, and EBSD would be an advantage

Candidates should be pursuing M.Tech/ PhD.
