Actively seeking Instructors to teach this Fall 2025 and beyond.
WCC is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when part-time and/or on-call instructors are needed to teach HVAC-R credit courses. Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Upon successful submission of your application, resume and transcripts, you will be considered for future part-time and/or on-call teaching opportunities on a per course basis.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Facilitates student learning in the HVAC-R program which includes teaching and course development.
• Responsible for the development of classroom and laboratory activities needed to develop practical technical level skills
• Develops and plans appropriate instructional strategies, including alternative delivery strategies when appropriate including but not limited to hybrid, face-to-face, evening and weekend, accelerated, online course delivery, active learning, and flipped classrooms.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and submit final grade rosters each semester in accordance with college policy and FERPA.
• Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Industrial Technology or related field and five years full-time work experience OR Associates degree in HVAC, Industrial Technology or related field may be considered with a minimum of 7 years full-time work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Preferred Qualifications:• Previous teaching experience with K-12, college or vocational programs.
• Ability to instruct in all disciplines within the HVAC-R program.

Salary Comments:
Professional Instructor (Non-Adjunct)
$995 per one (1) course contact hour
The course contact hour divided by 15 equals the clock hour rate (i.e., $995/15 = $66.34). Normally a three (3) credit hour course in either Fall or Winter Semester would typically equal three (3) course contact hours.
