This position requires technical experience with a broad working knowledge of workstations, operating systems and application software.
Communicate regularly with customers to ensure satisfaction and escalate problems to other IT groups or management as needed.
Works closely with regional IT groups, business units, and vendors to support initiatives and solutions.
Works under minimal supervision and can solve operational problems independently, quickly and completely.
Responsible for simple project components; is a key contributor to projects and is critical to project success; ensures that appropriate management is apprised of project status.
Activities
The Site Lead for Carville is a pivotal role, responsible for leading and managing the IT Services and team to ensure the efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This position is integral to both business and IT operations, bridging the gap between technical teams and business units.
Activities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and Support the IT Proximity Service to ensure efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure and end user computing environment
Provide input for developing IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in our enterprise and lab environments
Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to end users, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to corporate standards.
Ensure that the IT Inventory (PC's, mobile phones, TIM Devices, LAN/WAN, Printer) maintained via standard TotalEnergies CMDB
Coordinate Cyber Security efforts as it relates to the enterprise and lab environments. Take ownership of site cyber security audit action items as required.
Produce IT status reports and KPI's as required to ensure visibility of IT activities at the site.
Ensure end user devices, infrastructure, and applications are compliant (Obsolescence & Patching).
Ensure that all incidents and service requests for the site are resolved.
Contribute to the Long-Term Plan IT budget process and ensure that OPEX and CAPEX budget for IT is respected.
Candidate Profile
Customer service oriented, excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to multi-task, work well with others.
College degree or equivalent work experience. Preferably, a bachelor's degree in information systems.
Minimum 7 years of experience with end user and infrastructure support in office environments.
Knowledge of Voice Services, Video Conference, Printing, PC hardware and software, Microsoft operating systems, Intune & SCCM, productivity tools, data security, Active Directory user and computer management, networking essentials, and Microsoft365 applications (TEAMS, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, Forms)
Excellent English speaking and writing proficiency. French speaking /comprehension is a plus.
Knowledge of fiber optic, Ethernet Cable testing and troubleshooting preferred.
Experience with ServiceNow help desk software and ITIL Methodology is preferred.
