We are seeking a skilled and motivatedIntermediate or Senior Geospatial Specialist to join our dynamic environmental consulting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in GIS with demonstrated experience in environmental applications, Web GIS Portals, and Digital Data Collection. This role supports a variety of environmental projects through spatial data management, analysis, and visualization, with opportunities to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior staff depending on experience level.
Location: Can be based out of any of our office locations in Canada (Hybrid)

Expected compensation for this role is between $59,600 - $98,000 CAD annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.

This role supports a variety of environmental projects through spatial data management, analysis, and visualization, with opportunities to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior staff depending on experience level.

Your role within the team:
- Support the design, development, and administration of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
- Manage and maintain geospatial data systems and web portals, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of QA/QC procedures, standards, and best practices for geospatial workflows.
- Develop and maintain data collection tools and dashboards using ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, and Experience Builder.
- Automate GIS workflows and customize web mapping applications using scripting languages such as Python, Arcade, and SQL.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental assessments, regulatory submissions, and spatial analysis.
- Coordinate geospatial components of projects, including timelines, deliverables, and client communication.
- Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior GIS staff and project teams

The ideal candidate:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of professional GIS experience or related experience with a heavy focus on utilizing GIS.
- Experience in the environmental consulting industry in Canada is preferred; experience in forestry, surveying, or engineering is also an asset.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise, including web portal administration.
- Strong skills in ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, and Experience Builder.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, SQL, and Arcade; familiarity with R is an asset.
- Solid understanding of GIS best practices, metadata standards, and data governance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
