The Service Solutions department is an integral part of the Northern Central European Regional Procurement organization, which encompasses Direct, Indirect, Construction, and Service Procurement.This highly specialized and international team operates across Germany and Poland, supporting the full lifecycle of wind energy projects with a focus on operational excellence, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance management. The department plays a critical role in enabling the scalability and reliability of wind energy services across the region.

The department plays a critical role in enabling the scalability and reliability of wind energy services across the region.
Responsibilities
As a Specialist for Service Solutions, you will be expected to lead and shape the service procurement landscape for wind energy projects, with a strong focus on crane services, installation logistics, and long-term service agreements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Vendor Management: Establish and manage strategic partnerships with key service providers. Drive supplier development initiatives and ensure alignment with long-term business objectives, including innovation, sustainability, and performance excellence.
- Procurement Strategy: Design and execute category strategies for service, crane, and installation procurement. Ensure alignment with project timelines, technical requirements, and cost-out targets. Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and contribute to global category strategies.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead complex, high-value contract negotiations, including multi-year framework agreements. Ensure robust commercial terms, risk mitigation clauses, and enforceable SLAs. Collaborate with legal and technical teams to ensure compliance and enforceability.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation: Implement structured supplier performance management systems. Monitor KPIs, conduct quarterly business reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure service reliability and operational efficiency.
- Budget Management: Own and manage procurement budgets for assigned categories. Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, demand management, and supplier consolidation.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, contractual obligations, and operational disruptions.
- Process Optimization: Drive procurement process excellence through digital tools, automation, and lean methodologies. Lead initiatives to improve sourcing cycle times, contract lifecycle management, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, MSc in Renewable Energy) is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in procurement within the wind energy sector, with a strong focus on Service Procurement, Crane Services, and Installation Logistics
- Track record in managing complex supplier ecosystems, negotiating high-value contracts, and delivering measurable cost and performance improvements.
- Cross border procurement and working in matrix organisations
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of wind turbine technologies, O&M strategies, installation methodologies, and the European service provider landscape.
Competencies
- Strategic Procurement Expertise: Advanced skills in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Technical & Commercial knowledge: Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into commercial requirements. Strong understanding of crane operations, installation logistics, and service delivery models.
- Analytical & Financial Skills: Proficient in cost modeling, TCO analysis, and supplier performance analytics. Ability to derive insights from data to support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and align with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, legal, and finance.
- Problem Solving & Agility: Resilient and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changing project demands.
- Regulatory & ESG Awareness: Solid understanding of environmental, health & safety, and sustainability standards relevant to wind energy services.
- Language requirements: Proficiency in English is mandatory for this role. Knowledge of German and Danish is welcomed
