Job Description Summary
In the framework of a new engine inlet design a number of numerical analyses are being carried out in order to predict inclement weather threats. The threat can be icing, rain, hail or other particles. The Inclement Weather team at GE Aerospace Munich is looking for a student who will support the actual threat analysis based on numerical modeling of the inclement weather threats.
The task is envisioned to have a duration of 6 months with the option of contract extension.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Setup of complex numerical models (particle tracking in Ansys CFX).
- Post-processing of results.
- Interpretation of multi-phase CFD data.
- Participate in and present during technical reviews.
- Work under guidance and with the support of members of the Aerodynamics team.
Required Qualifications and Characteristics
- Good understanding of the physics and principles associated with turbomachinery aerodynamics.
- Expertise in numerical mesh generation and CFD simulation.
- Proven track record in delivering on complex programs and ability to work in cross-functional global team in multi-cultural environments.
- Demonstrated ability to advance the technology state of the art and ability to generate innovative solutions.
- Fluency in English.
