This is a position for Engineers who see themselves as specialists and are looking to grow in Project Engineering rather than Project Management. In this engineering team, everybody has a specialty/scope of engineering that they are really good at. In this case, are you the one with the Hydraulic know-how?

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer who can take on complex and innovative projects. Are you a curious engineer with a specialisation in Hydraulic systems? Do you like innovations, conversions, newbuilds?

Function description

What are you going to do?

• Analyze hydraulical challenges and discuss with among stakeholders;
• Develop innovative technical concepts and functional requirements;
• Oversee and guide the engineering process from concept through detailed design;
• Review and validate technical deliverables from suppliers;
• Coordinate and lead on-site activities, including commissioning;
• Collaborate and communicate with suppliers, subcontractors and project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

Who are you?

• Someone with a relevant engineering education, e.g. Mechanical, Offshore, Maritime Technology;
• Someone with years of proven experience of relevant projects and experience in the Offshore/Dredging/Shipbuilding industry;
• Someone with ability to work with different stakeholders and enough coordination skills;
• Someone who is curious and passionate about the engineering work they do;
• Someone who is flexible and willing to travel abroad regularly for on-site supervision/troubleshooting;
• Someone who is comfortable with speaking english and ideally speaks dutch as well;
• Someone looking for a long-term position with a big, international organization.
