- Advise, design and conduct compensation & benefits, and salary administration processes to enable the company to attract and retain a high calibre and diverse workforce at a competitive cost.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Review the annual performance bonus and merit increase process, ensure correct calculations and meet the submission deadline. Ensure payment is completed as per management approvals and take corrective action for any discrepancies found.
- Conduct salary administration activities by processing personnel action forms, conducting salary analysis, advising on the salary action, the implications related to promotions, transfers, internal equity and ensure policy is applied appropriately.
- Recommend and review all salary offers for new recruits, ensure offers are attractive, cost effective and internal equity is maintained. Conduct ad-hoc salary benchmarking exercises, and recommend outcomes based on reviews.
- Coordinate market research of compensation, benefits and allowances, including assessing trends in reward methodologies by participating in local, regional and international compensation and benefits surveys conducted by external agencies.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Analyse international and regional compensation and benefits survey reports and market trends and practice and prepare reports for presentation to HR Management and QG Management showing relevant trends and Qatargas' position in relation to the market.
- Benchmark internal jobs/roles through preparing a job list for job matching to external market data provided by third parties to ensure internal equity of employees and alignment to current job roles.
- Provide a report of consolidated salary benchmark and survey data provided by external agencies on a biennial basis with recommendations to management on any reward policy alignment to market practice and projection of Qatargas current reward structure position in-country and regionally to competitors.
- Devise and implement appropriate means of communicating information on compensation programs and policies to management and staff to ensure staff awareness of the value of their package and that the motivational elements achieve maximum effect.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Commerce.
- CIPD, CCP, GRP or SHRM certification required.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 8 years of HR experience, out of which 5 years' experience in compensation & benefits applications.
- Extensive knowledge of rewards and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Knowledge of building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels.
Technical and Business Skills - I
- Very high standard of written and spoken English.
- Excellent Microsoft and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and facilitate meetings to achieve outcomes with people from all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to lead and negotiate outcomes with senior staff.
