Position Requirements

What You'll Do

• Install residential gas piping systems in compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Work with copper, steel, and flexible piping materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and perform layout from both designed and non-predrawn plans.
• Cut and core openings in structures using hand and power tools, ensuring structural integrity.
• Determine safe drilling locations to avoid compromising building structure.
• Test gas systems to ensure leak-free performance and compliance with municipal and provider standards.
• Calculate BTU loads and size piping schematics based on those calculations.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, regulators, and appliances.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper integration of gas systems.
• Support and mentor Youth Apprentices, Pre-Apprentices, and Apprentices on job sites.
• Promote and enforce Dave Jones' safety policies and practices, ensuring safe jobsite conditions for all team members and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum of one year experience in gas pipe installation or construction.
