Function description

We are currently seeking a skilled Chief Officer for a project based in the United States, starting on August 10th. The Chief Officer will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of an Anchor Handling Tug vessel. This includes overseeing deck operations, anchor handling, towing activities, and ensuring compliance with maritime safety standards. As this is a non-DP vessel, the role focuses heavily on manual navigation support, seamanship, and operational coordination during offshore tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise deck crew during anchor handling, towing, and mooring operations.
• Ensure all deck equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently.
• Assist the Master with manual navigation and watchkeeping duties.
• Conduct safety drills and ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deck operations, safety checks, and maintenance.
• Coordinate closely with the engineering and bridge teams to support vessel performance and mission success.
• Ensure readiness of towing and anchor handling gear for offshore operations.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Valid STCW Chief Officer Certificate of Competency.
• Experience on Tugs and/or AHTS vessels.
• BOSIET + CA-EBS certification.
• US B1 Visa with wind annotation.
• Relevant Offshore and Officer certificates.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
