Job Title: Nuclear Project Estimator

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Downtown)

Compensation: $60.00 - $62.00/hr. non-exempt

System One is actively recruiting an Estimator for a long-term contract position located in Minneapolis, MN.

The Estimator will support high-impact nuclear projects within a large, well-established utility.

Estimator Scope of Work:

• Project estimating/budgeting for future projects.
• Reviews project backlogs in Oracle Unifier and spreadsheets.
• Collaborates with initiators and asset owners, references historical data, and develops estimates.
• Heavy interfacing with internal stakeholders.
• Supports a team of 8 in Project Controls, including 2 permanent estimators, 1 project manager, and other specialists.
• May interface with the transmission team if applicable.
• Will primarily support internal (nuclear business unit), with occasional interaction with external suppliers for cost data.
• Will be working in a collaborative and supportive team. Team is undergoing process standardization, so adaptability and a change-agent mindset are valued.
• Nuclear background highly preferred.
• Experience finding requests or estimating projects.

Estimator Required Qualifications:

• Project management and estimating experience (preferably in nuclear), familiarity with Oracle Unifier, understanding of project finance and controls, experience with work order planning and operations, construction estimating background acceptable.
• Strong communication, team player, change agent mindset, agile and proactive.
• 8-10 years of experience in project estimating, preferably in nuclear or utility environments. No degree required-commensurate experience is acceptable.
• Utility or large matrixed corporate environments. Open to candidates from other industries if adaptable.
• PMP or nuclear-specific certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Power Automate, PowerApps, or Power BI a plus.
