Summary

We are currently seeking a "best in class" Exploration Driller who will operate a CME 75 drill rig throughout our operating area to look for new clay deposits or gain additional information about existing deposits. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service. Performs Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position

• Operate a CME 75 drill rig for clay extraction with holes up to 100 ft deep
• Responsible for the maintenance, operation and safety of a CME 75 drill rig and related equipment
• Competent in both auger and core type drilling
• Partner with on-site plant associates, management and lab associates
• Analyze drill samples for material characterization and determination of needed quality standards
• Maintain accurate drill logs of retrieved samples
• Frequent travel and flexible work scheduling required for up to 10 day trips in field
• Must be able to work year round, in both hot and cold elements.

Skills and Experience Required for Success

• Experience is safe drill rig operation
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Must be able to quickly identify materials
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
• MSHA certification

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR one to three months related experience AND/OR training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
