Liberty Energy Services is seeking Electrical Inspectors for offshore work in the Gulf of America.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Electrical Inspector shall be to assure that the Electrical, Communication, and Instrumentation installation on construction projects is performed in accordance with the Company's drawings, plans, specifications, and the Contract Documents.

The responsibilities of the Electrical Inspector will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Being familiar with the approved for construction drawings and the Company specifications.
  • Understanding the Contract document as it relates to his or her duties on the project
  • Maintaining a detailed inspector's log book
  • Completing and submitting applicable inspection reports that accurately describe the work performed on the project
  • Taking proactive approach to safety on the job site and reporting safety issues to the Chief Inspector and Safety Inspector
  • Verifying that all materials used on the installation are in compliance with Company requirements.
  • Assuring that any design changes or material substitutions are discussed with the Chief Inspector/Resident Engineer and that proper Company approval is obtained prior to proceeding with the work.
  • Keeping the Chief Inspector/Resident Engineer aware of any daily problems or anticipated problems with the project.
  • The ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings pertaining to the construction project.
  • Follow control logic in project electrical drawings and interface with existing systems.
  • Be familiar with interpretation of hazardous locations as defined by the N.E.C. and Company specifications and be knowledgeable of approved wiring methods for these areas.
  • Able to perform or supervise the loop checks of electrical construction and document information.
  • Have knowledge of flame and gas detection systems and their operation in an industrial environment.
  • Be familiar with the A/C power systems including single phase and three phase systems and proper wiring methods.
  • Understand interfacing of pneumatic and electrical control systems (i.e. actuators, pressure, and I/P transmitters).

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years Pipeline and Compressor station experience

The minimum qualifications include three (3) years' experience as an Electrical Inspector/Technician or journeyman of which two years are of general pipeline or plant experience with an emphasis in electrical power and control system construction methods. In addition, inspector should be familiar with National Electric Code (N.E.C.) guidelines.
