About the Role

The Branch Trainer evaluates the technical training needs of their branch and works closely with the Goettl Academy to deliver impactful training. This includes new-hire onboarding, ongoing skill development, and safety programs. The goal: create stronger teams, reduce injuries, boost performance, and elevate the employee experience.

What You'll Do
  • Assess employee strengths and areas for improvement using field evaluations, tests, surveys, and manager feedback.
  • Deliver branch-level classroom and in-the-field training on:
    • Safety practices
    • Technical competencies
    • Goettl-specific procedures and operations
    • Professional appearance and uniform standards
  • Provide continuous in-field development and coaching to technicians and installers.
  • Create and implement clear learning paths for advancement.
  • Measure results of training programs and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Stay up to date on industry innovations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead monthly (or as needed) branch safety training sessions.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years' HVAC or plumbing technical background (6+ years preferred).
  • Experience with traditional and modern training methods (workshops, simulations, e-learning, coaching, mentoring).
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and business communication tools.
  • Collaborative approach to learning and employee development.
  • Required: Progressive work history, ability to pass a background and drug screen upon offer, and a clean motor vehicle record with active driver's license.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Work around moving machinery and varying temperatures indoors and outdoors.
  • Possible exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
