Join our Procurement team and advance your career as a S2C Excellence and eSourcing Senior Manager.
The role supports the delivery of bp business and functional strategies by driving efficiency and effectiveness across the end-to-end Procurement processes.
The person will lead an agile process excellence team focused on transformation, continuous improvement and innovation, to drive process standardization and management of procurement policies, standards and controls - focused on innovative solutions to resolve a problem and deliver an outcome. The role will also drive the eSourcing strategy and adoption via authorised sourcing tools and manage the operation of global eSourcing teams to deliver value for bp with online sourcing events.
Furthermore, this role will drive connectivity and integration of transformation and operational initiatives in collaboration with relevant parties e.g. Global Process Owners, Template Owners, Risk and Compliance and Technology.
The ideal candidate has critical thinking to mature the organization, taking into account standard processes and technology evolution.
In addition, BP is undergoing digitalisation transformation. In line with such initiatives, the person will be involved in supporting digital projects relevant to the S2C procurement space.

In this role You will:
People
- Lead a diverse team of size of 25+ team members with direct line management of 5; this includes performance management for team members as appropriate.
- Lead and coach a growing team of procurement professionals, managers and SMEs globally with complex process management and business interactions.
- Create a working environment which encourages high performance and continuous improvement approach with digital skills.
- Provide visible leadership to drive capability development and to instil a culture of service delivery excellence in S2C.
- Create/ Review/ Refresh performance metrics for team members to align the team with specific process objectives.
- Support career development framework, personal development plans and succession planning for team.
Excellence
- Drive operational effectiveness of global S2C activities and associated end to end procurement process, through data-led performance management framework in agreed forums, identify root cause/problems and drive actions for improvement.
- Cultivate continuous improvement attitude in the procurement community.
- Work globally with the GPO (Global Process Owner), Risk and Compliance, Template Owners and Technology to drive the transformation and continuous improvement agenda and compliance to process standards.
- Partner with the wider procurement organisation to ensure the Source to Contract activities are achieving optimal performance against key metrics, driven in accordance with our internal controls and in compliance with our policies and procedures.
- Be part of bp procurement transformation programs i.e. Quantum (global ERP transformation) and DOS (procurement transformation) to deliver value to the organization and bp businesses.
- Ensuring compliance to relevant policies that may differ from country to country whenever possible, failing which may result in a negative impact on BP.
Operations
- Set the vision of eSourcing strategy and work collaboratively with sourcing practitioners to increase the adoption of eSourcing proactively.
- Product owner of eSourcing tools accountable to continuous improve the tools to support the sourcing process effectively
- Proactively work with stakeholders to handle sourcing demand and identify competitive bidding needs accordingly.
- Prompt operation support to support bp's strategy. These include handling critical business stakeholder expectations, performance of event management activities and improve compliance to / uptake of, the eSourcing strategy.
- Oversee day to day running of operations and administration within cost and quality constraints.
- Accountable for operations supporting the UK, US and APAC time zones.
- Keeping abreast with development in rapidly changing industry standard processes, as well as bp's internal policies and procedures to ensure full compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Guiding team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and past experiences.
- Supervise pipeline for projects/activities and handle workload accordingly.
- Track value delivery and efficiency generated and report it to Leadership.
Quality Management
- Monitor the quality framework to ensure Quality Assurance, Quality Audit, Quality improvement and Knowledge management initiates are running effectively.
- Strict compliance on Process and Output quality.
- Handle data in accordance with bp's data classification guideline.
- Ensure proper upkeep and maintain bp records and relevant operation documents.
Risk Management & BCP
- Identify and bring up risks to Tower Lead.
- Managing risks and ensuring continuous operations including BCP.

Essential Education & Experience:
- An undergraduate degree (ideally in procurement or business) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 18 years working experience, with minimum 8 years in a global procurement sourcing role.
- Significant (10 years) leadership experience across process improvements, operations and systems.
- Strong leadership and experience managing teams cross-culturally and in an international environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required given diverse nature of operating landscape.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to motivate across geographies, and lead and inspire diverse teams.
- Have in-depth knowledge of Procurement processes including key roles, departments, and common process performance indicators.
- Solid understanding of S2P process, tools and systems associated with data analysis.
- Resilient and experienced in working in multi-faceted environment.
- Value Creation & Management- Works collaboratively to generate innovative tactics that deliver improved business results. Facilitate continuous improvement projects to add value.
- Innovation-Adapts existing processes, methods and ways of working to drive efficiency. Uses digital technologies and data to develop new ideas, projects and opportunities.
- Digital Fluency- Uses digital tools to organize, plan and reflect on digital data. Works with local and central specialists to collate and curate resources across digital networks.
Desirable Criteria:
- Strong working experience in source-to-contract procurement.
- Oil industry experience and knowledge with an understanding of the terminology, business functions and processes
- Knowledge of SAP Ariba sourcing module and other sourcing tools, including eSourcing online tenders and eAuctions.
