Customer Financing/Experience Specialist
Location: On-site | Solara Home Energy | Wildomar Headquarters

This is a fully on-site role at our office, offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with both customers and internal teams in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Customer Financing Specialist plays a key role in guiding homeowners through the financing journey for their solar installations. You will work directly with customers to explore, explain, and finalize available financing options, ensuring they feel confident and informed throughout the process. In addition, you'll support our Third-Party Dealers and Sales Representatives by managing project intake, conducting pre-surveys, preparing project scopes, reviewing contracts and loan documentation, and maintaining CRM records.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working one-on-one with customers, and bringing clarity to complex financial documents and processes. (Fully on-site in a standard office environment.)

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a financing guide for customers, explaining loan products, terms, and qualifications in clear, customer-friendly language.
- Evaluate each customer's needs and present tailored financing solutions that align with project scope and budget.
- Conduct pre-installation reviews to assess project viability and help customers navigate next steps.
- Review contracts, loan applications, and financing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify property ownership and ensure all customer documentation is accurately uploaded into the CRM system.
- Maintain detailed project scopes, including financing structure and cost breakdowns.
- Track project milestones and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Stay informed on new financing programs, pricing structures, and lender requirements to offer the most up-to-date guidance.
- Support team goals by meeting individual performance metrics and assisting in continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as needed to support a seamless customer and project experience.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with solar financing services, such as reviewing solar loan documents, assisting customers with loan applications, or coordinating with solar lenders.
- 1+ year of experience in solar operations, residential energy services, or a related industry.
- 1+ year of experience using CRM or project management tools.
- Strong understanding of solar loan structures, third-party financing providers (e.g., Mosaic, Sunlight, GoodLeap), and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on explaining financial products or contracts preferred.
