JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

The Organizational Development (OD) Business Partner plays a critical role in driving NOV's talent and organizational effectiveness strategies. As a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), you will design and deliver impactful initiatives in talent management, leadership development, performance coaching, and employee engagement. Your focus will be on aligning people and performance strategies with NOV's business goals-empowering employees and building a high-performing culture across the enterprise.

We are looking for a collaborative, proactive, and polished OD professional who thrives on delivering results and creating meaningful change. This is a hands-on role, reporting to the Director of OD at the corporate headquarters in Houston, for a strategic thinker who can lead initiatives and communicate with influence at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a consultative partner to HRBPs and business leaders on all OD-related matters.
  • Collaborate to identify and implement talent and learning strategies that align with organizational priorities.
  • Lead and influence core OD initiatives that support NOV's long-term growth and cultural evolution.


Talent & Performance Development

  • Drive adoption of Performance 2.0-NOV's performance management framework.
  • Support and facilitate 9-Cell Talent Management Reviews and Succession Planning efforts.
  • Coach and deliver 360 Assessments and Manager Development Surveys


Learning & Facilitation

  • Facilitate core learning programs that support leadership development, business case development, and upskilling employees.
  • Coordinate learning experiences that are scalable, engaging, and aligned to NOV's development framework.


Organizational Change & Engagement

  • Support Pulse Survey efforts and lead employee engagement strategies-partnering with managers and HRBPs to interpret results and take action.
  • Support OD communications and initiatives that foster a cohesive and thriving workplace culture.
  • Lead or support Speed Mentoring and OD Manager Onboarding experiences.


Data, Systems & Analytics

  • Work with the HRIS systems and data to derive insights from talent and engagement data.
  • Contribute to and interpret dashboards to identify organizational trends and opportunities.
  • Recommend and support technology solutions that enhance OD program effectiveness.


Who You Are

You are a confident communicator, insightful strategist, and hands-on facilitator who is passionate about developing people. You enjoy balancing big-picture thinking with execution and can work independently while fostering strong partnerships across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Organizational Development or Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent development, facilitation, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills with all organizational levels.
  • Technically savvy with tools such as, AI platforms, LMS, HRIS, Survey Platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and a polished, professional approach.
  • Preferred Certifications: Korn Ferry Leadership Architecture, 360 Assessments, DISC, Hogan, or related OD tools.
