The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Wastewater Engineer to join the team. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of budgeting, design, and construction of Water and Wastewater treatment plants. This includes design specifications and calculations, submittal drawings, assistance with bid proposals, etc. This will be a hybrid role, based out of our Houston office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Process design of water and wastewater treatment plants, including activated sludge, biological nutrient removal, disinfection, and physic-chemical treatment processes.
• Prepare technical specifications and design calculations.
• Oversee the development of the submittal, shop, and construction drawings.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals.
• Site visits to plant facilities as required.
• Act as a liaison with public and private sector clients, government review and approval agencies, consultants, and contractors.
• Review local, state, and federal regulatory requirements for compliance.
Requirements
Qualification/Requirements:
• Familiarity with environmental regulations is an asset.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
• Must be able to develop and make good use of process and instrumentation drawings.
• An intense motivation for professional growth and a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work hybrid schedule (2 days per week in the office, required).
• Ability to travel as needed.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering from an accredited university. Master's degree is preferred.
• Must have an Engineer-in-Training certification or be eligible to take and pass the required examination within six months.
• Experience in Wastewater Treatment Plants or similar highly preferred.
