This HVAC Technician positionis vital in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and air conditioning systems throughout the valley at residential and commercial properties. It ensures optimal indoor air quality and comfort for our residents.

- Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) units for customers.
- Install equipment, ducting, and electrical components related to HVAC.
- Diagnose diverse service issues and repair these electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Travel to job sites in the service area and ensure a schedule is maintained.
- Operate, maintain, and repair a variety of tools and equipment.
- Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service our customers' emergency needs.
- Great customer service skills. Ability to interact with residents and the SNRHA team.
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment.
- Assist in maintenance and repair of SNRHA facilities by performing various related maintenance and mechanical repairs when there is no request for HVAC services.
- Complete work orders, document steps taken, and parts used
- Perform related duties and responsibilities when required

Minimum Qualifications

Education, training, and work experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- 6 years of full-time experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC issues. A combination of six years of experience will be considered.
Licenses and Certifications:
- The ability to complete comprehensive testing administered by SNRHA is necessary to demonstrate proficiency in trades, education, training, and experience.
- OSHA 10-required, OSHA 30-preferred
Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license at the time of hire and be insurable under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.

- Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) units
- Skilled in installing equipment, ducting, and electrical systems related to HVAC
- Knowledge of refrigerant recovery and safe disposal of refrigerant
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle a wide range of maintenance duties, including make-readies, work orders, and groundskeeping
- Ability to work effectively in high-demand situations and ensure timely unit turnover
