Vestas are looking for a passionate and experienced 1st Line Technical Support professional to work with our site teams and the Melbourne warehouse.
This role will be based at our Bangholme warehouse with a welcoming and collaborative team.
This role requires the successful candidate to liaise with our site teams in Australia and New Zealand along with our online technical teams across APAC to ensure all systems and processes are working as efficiently as possible. When problems arise it will be your responsibility to ascertain the cause and either provide a solution or work with the right teams at finding one.
An acute knowledge of wind turbine platforms and systems will be very highly regarded.
Be part of highly dedicated Maintenance team, to maintain and control our Tools and Equipment to service and construction sites. You will be working with people locally and abroad.
This is a fast-paced department, and we need to adjust workload all the time, and prioritize our daily tasks

Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance
- Evaluate and categorize failures, requests, faults, and errors
- Partake in root cause analysis, problem solving by applying tools as 8D, DMAIC/Six Sigma, 5×Why, PDCA
- You are responsible to act on NCR's from site & ensure data is provided for NCR creation (Feedback Loop)
- Escalate technical bugs and issues to ensure continuous improvement
- Monitor products, services, or solutions and update issue handling documentation
- Document relevant support information
- Prevent breakdowns and downtimes through proactive measures
- Ensure product/service enhancement
- Collaborate with teams for issue resolution
- Maintain high standards of technical support
Qualifications
- Electrical or mechanical education
- Relevant degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering preferred
- Wind Industry Experience highly preferred
- Strong technical background
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues
- Experience managing technical projects
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Good communication skills in English
- Focus on enhancing processes and systems
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and methods
