This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: #Li-hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Responsible for on-site robot debugging (including robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling). Manage and monitor project during whole execution period until get FAC.
  • Achieving process parameters, body quality & line cycle time for BiW lines including Spot welding, Sealant / dispensing, Roller hemming, Material handling & basic vision application.
  • Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings, vision system measurement and maintenance, and be able to complete a new model introduction robot simulation independently.
  • Familiar with mechanical principles, electrical components, and circuit diagrams. Manage supplier resources (robot programmers) to deliver line buy-off KPIs.



Qualifications for the role


  • B.E. or Diploma in Paint Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in industrial automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kawasaki robots and solid working knowledge of ABB robots.
  • Proficient in robot programming, simulation, and integration-including tools like K-ROSET, RobotStudio, and RCS.
  • Skilled in engineering and design software such as Process Simulate, AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks.
  • Exposure to BiW lines in OEMs and Tier 1 environments, with experience in applications like spot welding, MIG welding, sealing, and roller hemming.
  • Familiarity with industrial network protocols including DeviceNet, Ethernet, and Profinet, along with electrical troubleshooting in robot-based automation cells.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a customer-focused mindset and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Self-starter and team player, willing to travel and continuously learn new technologies and working methods
